Abstract

Active learning using real learning environment is essential for developing a scientific attitude. Ecotourism is one of the ecosystems that can be used as a learning environment and a place to find teaching materials. Learning about zoology not be separated from the object of study of birds (Aves). Vertebrates Taxonomy learning in birds is often carried out a study object only in the classroom or laboratory. Green learning method is a learning system using natural environment directly in the learning process and the preparation of teaching materials. This research was conducted in Wana Grape, sub Wungu, Madiun. This study uses point count method. Exploration carried out by recording the observations of the object being observed, resulting in a general form of teaching materials that were analyzed descriptively. Application of green learning method makes it easy for professors to materials development courses Vertebrate taxonomy. The presence of green learning method provides real study materials from the natural surroundings by utilizing existing local potential. There are 7 species of birds that exist in ecotourism Grape. The most dominant species of birds are Emprit / Bondol Java (Lonchura leucogastroides), Erasia Church (Passer Montanus, Bar-winged prinia Java (Prinia familiaris). The most rare bird is Black Srigunting (Dicrurus macrocercus) and Cucak Kutilang (Pycnonotus aurigaster). Ecotourism Grape very relevant to learning and teaching materials manufacture taxonomy based green learning method. Keyword : exploration, bird, grape, green learning method

Abstract

The role of insects (arthropods) in human life can affect the yield and quality of agricultural products. Insect pests are insects that regularly or occasionally cause damage that can reduce the yield or quality of agricultural products. The purpose of this study was to determine the  preference of arthropods on wild plants, to compare the percentage of interest and time orientation of arthropods on wild plants. This research is a qualitative descriptive that tries to reveal andexplain about the preferences or interests arthro in Poda against wild plants (weeds) Cambodgien Wonosari Tea Garden Area, Singosari Malang. The difference in the percentage interest in insects against wild plants affected by volatile compounds secreted by wild plants. Overall plant contain  volatile compounds produced by the leaves, flowers or fruit of the wild plants cause differences  insect attraction. Insects itself able to select and respond to volatile compounds from plants that are in nature can be visited.Keywords : insects, arthropods, wild plants.

Abstract

The ability to cope with environmental stresses and to survive is adaptive. This is due to the changes that occur very rapidly due to the need to adapt according to the demands at the time. Improving the quality of learning is dynamic so that the quality of learning today is not the same as the quality of learning and even become expired on tomorrow. Several studies have shown that teacher quality is a prerequisite in achieving quality education. This can be done as early as possible to improve teacher candidates. Law No. 14 of 2005 states, the position of teachers as professionals, serves to enhance the dignity of the teacher as well as his role as a learning agent to improve the quality of national education. Being a professional science teacher candidates there are a number of basic competencies related to professional quality needs to be improved. One of them contained in the framework for 21st century learning, one is supporting innovation and creativity skills. The main issue in this article is: How to prepare prospective science teachers (IPA) to be able to respond to any changes in present and future as well as to effectively take advantage for the betterment of self, community, and nation. The main issue, the focus of this article is to prepare graduates perspective, especially in science education courses Faculty of Surabaya in adaptive skills to support 21st century skills terkaid innovation and creativity in the lecture biotechnology. Abstract

This study examines the phylogenetic relationships of two populations of Central Lombok local buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) through microsatellite DNA markers based on three random primers, namely HEL09, INRA 023 and INRA 032. Grouping several individual buffalo from the two populations into one cluster showed genetic mixing. The existence of genetic mixing allegedly because the buffalo population is spread open local population. Many buffalo imported from other populations in Central Lombok district or from other areas by farmers to be maintained along with buffalos that already exist, resulting in mixing or close relatives outside marriage among individual local buffalo of Central Lombok. Abstract

Sub urban of madiun region is area of the border between urban and rural development which experience a lot of road construction and the settlement. This is resulted in damage to the natural habitat of various species of birds. Damage to vegetation or habitat, caused a change in the adaptability of birds that could potentially affect the abundance of birds. The purpose of the study was to determine the type and abundance of bird in the west of sub urban Madiun. The method used is the encounter rates. Results from observational studies with a total of 75 hours indicates the total number of birds species were more abundant in the morning than the afternoon. The most abundant bird is Collocalia fuciphaga with the amounts 576 and a value of abundance 76.8, There are three species that protected by laws: Alcedo meninting, Cloris todirhamphus, and Aethopyga mystacalis. Abstract

Science Skills include observing skills with all the senses, using tools and materials, planned the experiment, ask questions and formulate hypotheses, conduct experiments, concluded, and communicate findings. Application of learning methods Student Facilitator and Explaining in science subjects can be done relatively easily by a teacher. The purpose of research is to improve science learning achievement through the use of cooperative learning model Student Facilitator and Explaining. Classroom action research with the stages of planning (planning), implementation (acting), observation (obseving), and reflection (relecting). The data were analyzed descriptively. Based on the results obtained by the action hypothesis first cycle the average value of learning achievement 70.63 cycle II the average value of learning achievement 80.63. Conclusion of the study there was an increase science learning achievement with cooperative learning Student Facilitator and Explaining. Abstract

Archiving and dissemination of data , techniques, and observations of Cyanophyta required for optimization of succesfully low plant systematics studies. This paper aims to present the preparation techniques and the results of Cyanophyta algae observing with light microscope and digitaly camera. Sources accurate specimen was also informed by the author repeatedly experience in organizing learning plant systematics. Preparation and microscopic observation Cyanophyta consists of preparation of accurate source of specimens , microscopic observation to obtain optimum picture of the object and focus , shooting or recording images using a digital camera. The image files are stored and are equipped with a scale.Results of preparation , observation and shooting showed that cells and colonies all Cyanophyta (Oscillatoria , Anabaena , Nostoc ) has a similar size range that requires preparation to optimize the use of the same light microscop . Cells of Cyanophyta colonies can be seen clearly in the eyepiece magnification of 10x and 40x objective. Less than that magnification, The thalus of Cyanophyta difficult to observe because of the relatively small cell size compared to the size of eukaryotic cells. By shooting with digitaly camera, microscopy observation images can be captured as digital specimen. Observing the digitaly specimen does not change depending on season and time. Abstract

Science Skills include observing skills with all the senses, using tools and materials, planned  the exThis study aims to investigate the influence of variations in the concentration and dipping time of lactic acid to glucose and organoleptic sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas). The research method using completely randomized design (CRD) with factorial 3x3 and three replications. The first factor is the variation of concentration (K) include 1%, 1.5%, 2%, both long immersion factor (L) includes 60 minutes, 90 minutes, 120 minutes. Collecting data by calculating the glucose level using titration method using Na2S2O and organoleptic tests include color, smell, texture andlevel of preference to the 15 panelists using the enclosed questionnaire. Analysis of data using 3analysis of variance (ANOVA) two paths through SPSS version 17.0 with a significance level of 0.05, then when will significantly dilanjutkanuji LSD or LSD. The analysis showed variationin the concentration effect on glucose levels (P = 0.000 <0.05). Soaking time effect on glucoselevels (P = 0.000 <0.05). There are significant variations in the concentration of interaction and immersion duration of the glucose levels (P = 0.013 <0.05). The highest glucose levels found in K1Ltreatment (1% concentration and dipping time of 60 minutes), while the lowest glucoselevels in the treatment K1 3L2 and K3L on immersion 120 menit.Hasil organoleptic preferred on K3L 3 treatment because the typical smell of sweet potato is missing, whiter color , the texture is very soft and low glucose levels.Keywords: lactic acid, sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas), glucose, organoleptic test

Abstract

Learning in UIN Alauddin is still limited knowledge to students, while, one mission to improve the quality of educators Biology in terms of belief, moral and scientific attitudes have not been implemented. This is caused by a lack of learning resources that connects Biology Science and its relation to scientific Quran. Cell Biology as subjects that reveal about the phenomenon of the smallest unit of life, it can be studied with scientific Quran. Therefore, it is necessary to develop teaching materials of Cell Biology with scientific Quran to achieve one mission in Biology Education Courses of UIN Alauddin Makassar to improve quality in terms of the creed of Biology Educators, moral and scientific attitude. Cell Biology purposes of teaching materials even this can help students to better understand the concept of Cell Biology abstract to concrete, because in Cell Biology teaching materials displayed image by using a reference cell that contains the results of research conducted by experts Cell BiologY. Thus, the implementation and achievement of learning objectives can be achieved optimally so that it can support contextual learning of Cell Biology. Abstract

The objective of this study was to isolate actinomycetes from soil of tea plantations, Jamus ngawi as a microbiology lab manual chapter isolation and characterization of microbes. The medium used is the medium of MHA and MHB. Soil samples taken to a depth of 10-15 cm from the surface with capture location is about 07o 4153,07 S and 111  37 24.64 E. The isolates were obtained observed morphologic characters include colony shape, colony color, surface characteristics of colonies, colony growth, colony elevation, and the edge of the colony. Isolatesof actinomycetes were successfully isolated are Streptomyces, Nocardia and Nocardiopsis. Actinomycetes isolates have been found that can be used as a collection of the microbiologylaboratory.Keywords : actinomycetes, soil of tea plantation, microbiology lab manual
